3. SURFACE PREPARATIONS

3.1. Surface preparation for the application of Russian Nano material is to remove rubbish remains and loose fragments from the surface, dedust the surface, and if necessary, degrease and / or prime.

3.2. When cleaning the surface it is necessary to pay special attention to the careful processing of recesses, corners and joints.

3.3. After cleaning, the surface should be dedusted using compressed air or other means.

3.4. At temperature below +18°C, concrete, brick, cement plaster and other crystalline surfaces should be pre-primed with any acrylic primer in 1-2 layers. At t above +18°C priming is not required.

3.5. Surfaces covered with gypsum plaster or putty, as well as having in their basis cardboard, paper, etc. should be necessarily pre-primed with an acrylic primer in 1-2 layers and Russian Nano material material should be applied only after complete drying of priming layers.

3.6. Metal surfaces (black metal and other kinds of metal, suitable for covering by latex paint) with signs of corrosion should be prepared for coating by Russian Nano material in the following ways:

1) Clean of loose rust with a wire brush or other mechanical means and then use Russian Nano material INHIBITOR modification as the first (priming) layer;

2) Mechanically clean the surface to bright metal (in this case, the primer layer is not required);

3) Remove rust with a rust converter, following the instructions on the application of the rust converter. If the metal surface has no signs of corrosion, it is enough to degrease the surface with acetone before applying Russian Nano material thermal insulation.

3.7. Metal surfaces (stainless steel, aluminum and other kinds of metal which are not suitable for covering by latex paint) should be pre-primed with an appropriate primer (you should consult suppliers of paints and primers).

3.8. Surfaces which have wood in their basis do not require preliminary preparation before applying Russian Nano material.

3.9. Plastics, glass and other materials, the adhesion of which is in doubt, can be pre-tested by experimental application of Russian Nano material and if necessary pre-primed with an appropriate primer (you should consult suppliers of paints and primers).

3.10. Before application of Russian Nano material on surfaces coated (painted) with unknown material which is in doubt, these surfaces can be purified from such a coating with wire brushes or other mechanical means, and metal pipes can be covered with glass tissue, winding it like a bandage and securing it with a nylon fishing line if necessary.

3.11. Surfaces coated (painted) with material which is no doubt, for example surfaces covered with paints, varnishes, primers, penetrating coatings or other kinds of coatings that firmly stick to the surface and do not react to water substances, can be covered with Russian Nano material material directly to these coatings after preliminary dedusting and degreasing.

3.12. Before application of the working layer on surfaces with temperature over +70°C, they should be primed with Russian Nano material material, diluted in water of 20% of the volume of the material. Priming is applied 1-3 times with intermediate drying for 1-2 hours. To ensure the correct application and compliance technology of covering Russian Nano material in high temperature mode (over +70°C), it is recommended to consult with a representative of the supplier of the product.

3.13. Before applying Russian Nano material FROST modification it is recommended to pre-prime the surface with AK-070 primer, following the instruction attached to the primer.

4. PREPARATION OF RUSSIAN NANO MATERIAL MATERIAL

4.1. Open the container with Russian Nano material.

4.2. For dilution of the material (if necessary), add water sin the volume of maximum 5% by material volume (no more than 50 ml per 1 liter of the material).

4.3. Thoroughly mix the material with an electric beater-mixer (speed is not more than 300 r/min) or a wooden stick, or by repeated transfusions from one container to another until a homogeneous mass.

Note:

In case of long motionless storage of the material, vacuumized microspheres can emerge on the surface and form a dense layer of the material. It should not be removed as it will reduce the content of the main component in the material.

In this case, you should pierce the emerged layer of the material in many locations and mix until a homogeneous creamy mass. Then pour the product into a clean bucket through a filter (that is a metal mesh with 2 - 3mm cells or a colander), breaking the clumps on the mesh with a brush. Remove clumps remaining on the filter. This helps to avoid contamination of the spray head and get a flat and smooth insulating surface.

4.3. Pour the material (previously-mixed and if necessary filtered) into a service container from which insulation works will be done.

5. APPLICATION OF RUSSIAN NANO MATERIAL MATERIAL

5.1. If the surface is pre-primed, Russian Nano material should only be applied after complete drying of the last primer layer.

5.2. It is not allowed to apply Russian Nano material on wet or icy surfaces.

5.3. It is not allowed to apply Russian Nano material on unprotected surfaces before rain, as water resistance of the coating is achieved only after complete drying.
5.4. Execution of works in wet weather increases the drying time.

5.5. The material in the storage container must be periodically stirred to prevent bundles during application.

5.6. Amount of material needed for a layer of about 0.5 mm is 0.5 - 0.55 l/m2.

5.7. Recommended total thickness of the coating is not less than 1mm.

5.8. Use visual quality control of the coating – the basic surface should not be seen under the layer of coating. To accurately measure the thickness of the finished coating use a thickness gauge for wet coatings. Protective coating applied to the surface should form a solid uniform layer with no gaps, stains and dents.

5.9. The drying time of each layer depends on the temperature of the surface and the ambient temperature (See chapter 2).

5.10. After completion of works the instrument should be thoroughly washed with the appropriate liquid (See chapter 2). If necessary, the resulting liquid can be used to dilute the material in the next days of work.

5.11. If it is necessary to apply paint, varnish or other liquid finishing coats directly on RE- THERM™ thermal coating, use water-based materials.

6. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

6.1. Russian Nano material thermal coating has no general toxic and skin-resorptive effects. According to
GOST Standard 12.1.007, Russian Nano material refers to the 4th class of danger.

6.2. When working with the product, it is recommended to wear protective goggles and an apron. When spraying Russian Nano material indoors without ventilation, it is recommended to use respirators SB-
11 "Lepestok-200" GOST 12.4.028. If the room is well ventilated or works are carried out outdoors, respirators are not required.

6.3. Storage and use of thermal protection does not require special specification of safety, as it is fire- and explosion safe.

6.4. Thermal coating products should be transported and stored in a sealed container at at above
+5°C (RUSSIAN NANO MATERIAL ANTIFREEZE and RUSSIAN NANO MATERIAL FROST above -40°C).

6.5. People who studied this instruction can be allowed to independently carry out works on applying the product.

6.6. Russian Nano material coating products comply with the following standards:

- Sanitary-Epidemiological Conclusion № 16.11.10.231.P.000669.04.09 from 21.04.2009.

- Certificate of Compliance № РОСС RU.АВ24.Н01264 from 19.06.2009.

7. EMERGENCY CASES

7.1. After contact of Russian Nano material with your eyes, immediately flush the eyes with running water for 15 minutes. Consult a doctor if irritation remains.

7.2. After contact of Russian Nano material with your skin, wash the skin with soap and water. Launder contaminated clothes.

7.3. After contact of Russian Nano material with your lungs, go outside into fresh air.

7.4. To facilitate cleaning in case of spillage of the product use any absorbent material such as sand, soil, rags, etc.

FOLLOWING THE TABLES OF CHAPTER 2 DURING THERMAL INSULATION WORKS IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY! ANY FAILURE TO COMPLY THIS INSTRUCTION LEADS TO THE DETERIORATION OF THERMAL AND STRENGTH CHARACTERISTICS OF RUSSIAN NANO MATERIAL, UNTIL THEIR COMPLETE INEFFICIENCY!
